The week's half gone? O jeez.
Another beautiful, sunshiney start to the day? I'll take it.
I'm delaying the pruning of roses for a week. I've toured the garden boxes to see what I need to do (weeding), and I ordered a new box, too, which should be here within a few days. I've mapped out what I want to plant. Enough of that. I'm going to just enjoy the day, and do a few little chores.
One of the chores we need to do --yes, we-- is clean out G's side of the big closet. He has a lifetime of clothes crammed in there, and most of them have not seen the light of day since we moved in eleven years ago. Some will go to thrift, some will go to the "white box" collection, and some will likely have to go to the transfer station due to threadbare/holes/etc. O yes...he'll get to keep some. lol I rotate the clothes in my side of the big closet every season, so things are generally sorted out and taken care of routinely. I admit I've got far too many tee shirts (I like them for memorabilia), but other than that, if I have not worn something in a year or two, out it goes.
I really need to sort out shoes and bras. Shoes, easy. If they hurt, they are gone. Bras-- ugh. I keep buying them, and hoping they won't be uncomfortable, but there they are, mocking me. Probably an odd assortment of them will go to the white box. I hate spending the money on those things, but hey... yeah. Enough said.
But I digress.
Later this week, probably Friday, we'll go to King Arthur Baking in Norwich. I have not been in ages, and I want to re-boot my sourdough baking. I miss making bread. It's comforting, and frankly, a whole lot better for you than store-bought bread. We'll bring Holly, and likely, we'll have lunch there. I'll have to try not to over-purchase (I tend to get a little overwhelmed and want to buy it all).
And I still have a stack of essays to read. I'm just not ready to face them. They will likely be okay but sigh... my brain is not in "school mode" and I'm not forcing the issue.
We will not make a ball game this week; while the forecast has improved for the weekend, the temperatures are not as comfy as I'd rather for sitting for several hours. We'll shift that plan to another time, unfortunately, but mid-50s is not great for sitting in plastic stadium seats.
(I must be getting old.)
(I am, but that's beside the point.)
G is taking the doggo to the vet tomorrow, and maybe setting up a groomer appointment. She is one shaggy dog-- so much dog hair everywhere! It's past time.
Ain't we got fun?
Have a good day, friends. Much love,
C
