the hours, days, and weeks are streaming by me...slow down, eh?

We got the tomatoes propped up a little better-- trust me, these plants are out of control. It'll have to do. G also helped me get the pool cover unswamped; too much rain, and it was submerged and sagging to the bottom. I'll have to spend some time cleaning it today if we are to get in, but at least I don't have to figure out how to get the cover out with hundreds of gallons of water on top. But that will be after today's version of physical therapy.

I've been going to PT regularly since the end of June, and I think there's been improvement, but omg it hurts like crazy the next couple of days. Trust me, I regret every single moment of not keeping myself more "fit" or active, though the injuries that are the focus of these appointments had nothing really to do with either. But strengthening muscles around injuries is hard work when you've basically become Stay-Puf.

Shoes are another issue; I've never been known to buy "quality" shoes, because a/ they are freaking expensive, and b/ where? how? I need guidance. Now I absolutely must find a daily shoe that will provide back-of-ankle support. And sneakers are not always the answer. So, here we are. I've got to figure that out now. I have some that will suffice, but mostly what feels good is hiking sandals, and those will not serve for work.

Sigh.

What I really want is a completely unstructured, warm day to just float through the hours. I'm feeling pressured by the calendar, the clock, these appointments, and so on-- and chilly nights/mornings are not helping. I'm not ready I'm not ready I'm not ready...

Waiting until the week before I go back to work for our mini-vacation was poorly planned. Maybe next year, we'll go somewhere a whole lot earlier. G said he'd be interested in going to the beach in June for the sand sculpture competition again-- I think I might hold him to that.

Anyhow, I have most of today to do what I like, so there's that. After the PT appointment, and after I clear the detritus from the pool. Likely, I'll spend a bit of time with Meg and Holly, and that's perfect. I might just read on the deck. I did that for a little bit yesterday, and it was nice. I want more of that.

But last night I ordered this year's plan book and some trifold folders. And I made a short list of stuff I need to get done, like the yearly training/reminder stuff (GCNs), building Google Classrooms, and tweaking the syllabus for AP Language/College Comp.  Bleah.

At least if I have it written down, it's not crowding my brain and clamoring for attention.

I hope you have a lovely day. Enjoy it. They don't last.
