Sox Chat: The Bloom-ing Idiot in the Office Let this Team Down

What is happening to the Red Sox? I mean, yeah, they break your heart, year in and year out, it seems, with few exceptions. But wow. Implosion? Unhappy people all around. And who can blame them? The trade deadline came and went, and Bloom didn't even try to get the team any help.

I wouldn't want to play, either. I mean, I think they are trying-- they are ballplayers. But I also believe that they feel cheated, let down, and dismissed by the front office. Resentment is a very human emotion, and I'd be resentful, too. If Bloom thinks that the wounded and weary players who may or may not be coming to play in the latter half of this month are going to spark a run for the Wild Card, he's sorely mistaken. It's too late, if that's all he has for a plan. They are not part of the dynamic; it'll be like spring training all over again, at a time in the season when things have to be clicking along like a well-oiled machine

Or a well-loved, broken in glove.

As a fan, I am disgusted. Not really with the players, though Raffy D. needs to get his head on the ball. And 'dugo is pissy, which is understandable, but not helping things at all. There's just no spark. No magic. No scrappy team from Bawwst'n attitude. There was-- but then, they were essentially told they weren't worth the effort.

Nice work, Bloom et al. Cora is doing a masterful job of getting any production at all out of this Island of Misfit Toys, and then they all get sand in their lunches.

Maybe it's time to take the temperature of the front office; how much do they value Bloom? Because it sure doesn't look like he gives a damn about my poor, broken Sox.

Have a good day,

C
